Mixed fortunes for north-west clubs in IFA Cup

soccerIt was a case of mixed fortunes for north-west clubs in the IFA Cup this afternoon.

Institute were beaten 3-2 after extra-time by "non-league" Sport & Leisure Swifts.

And there was no joy either for Oxford United Stars of Derry, who lost 3-2 to Crumlin Star.

Coleraine, are through, but only after a remarkable fight back.

They were 2-0 down at home to Ballinamallard United with ten minutes left but scored twice to force the game into extra time. That failed to resolve the issue, but they won 4-2 in a penalty shoot-out.
