Police are appealing for information following a man being set on fire in Derry. 
At about 12:30pm yesterday police were made aware of an incident in which a man sustained a burn injury.
The incident is believed to have occurred at about 7pm on Sunday, December 27, in the Foyle Street area of Derry.
The man, who is in his 50s and believed to be homeless sustained a burn to his jeans and lower leg.
The man was not seriously injured as a result of  wearing two pairs of trousers due to the cold.

Police have interviewed the victim and are checking CCTV.

Police have spoken to witnesses who saw and doused the flames, however at this stage there is no clear evidence of how the incident started.
