A Councillor said he was shocked and disappointed to learn that the HSE has no idea how many of its employees are absent from work, sick, due to stress.
Responding to Councillor Gerry Crawford, the HSE says it recognises the problem of stress on staff and has some initiatives in place to help but doesn’t have a database to record stress related sick leave.
Councillor Crawford believed the number is high and says more should be done to address the issue:
