Donegal League game abandoned after ref stops play following incident

SoccerThere was controversy in a Donegal League fixture which was abandoned yesterday after an incident believed to have involved a number of players late in the game.
The game between Glenea United and Castlefin Celtic was not finished when it was called off.
Castlefin were leading Glenea 3-1.
Although it was initially reported that the full time score was 3-1, an investigation will now get underway to determine whether the result stands.
The matter is likely to go before the Disciplinary Committee.
League PRO Gary Foy told Highland Radio Sport that it will now depend on what is contained in the report submitted by match referee Joe McHugh.
Whether the result stands remains to be seen.
