Woman remains in hospital following vicious attack in Derry

 
Police in Derry  are investigating an attack on a woman in the Gobnascale area of the Waterside.
The incident took place yesterday morning.
A number of masked men are believed to have been involved in the incident and the woman received serious injuries during the attack.
She was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital where she is still being treated for her injuries.
Detectives say a motive remains under investigation and they are appealing for information.
They would like to hear from anyone who saw men going to or coming from the house between 9.30am and 10.30am yesterday morning.
