Donegal County Council
A Special meeting of Donegal County Council will take place this Friday at 4pm to discuss the matters broadcast on Monday nights RTE investigates programme.
Donegal Councillor John O’Donnell was one of three politicians who featured on the programme, offering to lobby on behalf of a fictitious wind farm company in exchange for money or the promise of a loan or an investment in a private business, according to RTÉ.
In a statement last evening Cllr O’Donnell said he was considering legal action against RTE over breaching his privacy, and accused it of selecting footage to suit an agenda.
Sinn Fein Councillor Mick Quinn is hoping Cllr O’Donnell will attend:

Meanwhile the meeting of the Independent grouping on Donegal County Council to discuss the expulsion of Cllr O’Donnell from the group took place last night.
No decisions were made during that meeting and the group is to reconvene prior to the special meeting between all Councillors this Friday.
