Donegal County Council honoured Jason Quigley with a Civic Reception on Wednesday evening in Lifford.
The event was in recognition of his achievement where he won middleweight gold at the 2013 European Amateur Championships in Minsk, Belarus.
Since then Jason moved up to the pro ranks where he has built a record of nine fights undefeated.
The 24 year old, who is back home on a break from training in America, said in the County Chamber this evening it was a ‘humbling experience’.
