The main draw of the 2015 Irish Badminton Open kicked into gear yesterday in Dublin and once again it was another good day for the the Magee family from Donegal with a pair of victories in the mixed doubles - while Chloe Magee advanced to the quarter final in the women’s singles.
Sam and Chloe Magee turned in one of their best performances in recent months defeating Welsh Open winners Matthew Nottingham and Emily Westwood of England in three games.
They now play Dutch pair Tabeling & Barning in the next round for a place in the semi-final.
Supporting Sam & Chloe in the mixed doubles were younger brother Joshua and niece Rachael Darragh. The young Irish pair made sure of two Irish pairs in today's quarter finals with a commanding two game win in their match.
