Report finds Donegal has the third lowest burglary rate in the country

Donegal has the third lowest burglary rate in the country, according to figures analysed in today’s Irish Independent.
The report finds Wexford is the county with the most burglaries by head of population.
There’s 256 burglaries per 100-thousand people in Wexford – with Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Wicklow and Laois having the next highest rates.
Wexford has more than 8 times the amount of burglaries than Monaghan – which is the lowest ranking county.
The three lowest counties are Monaghan with 31 burglaries per 100,000 of the population, Leitrim with 43 and Donegal with 49.
