Man stabbed in Strabane assault

Detectives in Strabane are appealing for information following a report of an assault on a man in the town.

 

A man aged 36 reported to police that while he was walking at the Water Wall in Strabane between 6.30pm and 7pm on Monday last, he was approached by two other men.

They asked him for a cigarette, and when he said he had none, he was assaulted and stabbed in the left leg.

The assailants were described as being in their 20s and were wearing dark hooded tops.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Detective Constable O'Donnell at Strabane PSNI station.
