LYIT lose to St Pat’s in League Semi Final

The LYIT’s hopes of reaching the Division 2 Final of the GAA Higher Education Senior Football League ended on Thursday evening at the Monaghan Centre of Excellence.
The Letterkenny side lost to St Pat’s College from Drumcondra 1-23 to 0-13.
Trailing by a point at half time, the Dublin side dominated the second half to run out 13 point winners.
Daire McDaid top scored for the LYIT with 0-5 while his brother Caolan and Willie Gillespie hit 0-3 each.
St Pat’s, who had Donegal players Caolan Loughney, Feargal Doherty and Niall Friel in their starting line up, will play NUI Galway in the final.
