Sir Bruce Forsyth returns home after keyhole surgery

Sir Bruce Forsyth has returned home from a short stay in hospital after having keyhole surgery.
The veteran entertainer underwent the procedure on an abdominal aortic aneurysm last Thursday.
A statement by issued his manager, Ian Wilson, said: “The procedure was a complete success and while Sir Bruce needs to rest and recuperate, it is anticipated, given the minimally invasive nature of this operation, he will make a speedy recovery.”
Wilson said that 87-year-old Sir Bruce’s recent condition was discovered when he underwent extensive medical checks following a recent fall.
“It is not connected in any way with the fall itself from which Sir Bruce has made a full recovery – indeed, he recorded Strictly Come Dancing’s Children In Need Special with Tess Daly, which aired last Friday,” Wilson said.
Sir Bruce teamed up with Daly on the Children In Need special, and presented Call The Midwife star Laura Main and professional dancer Brendan Cole with their trophy following their win on the night.
The star is also due to be a part of the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special at the end of the year.
The BBC said: “We anticipate that Bruce will still very much be a part of the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special.”
