Donal O’Brien returns to Derry as Kenny Shiels No.2

Donal O'Brien will be Derry City's number two after Kenny Shiels appointed the Dubliner as his assistant manager this week.

O'Brien played for the Candystrips in the 90's where he won the League of Ireland Player of the Year in 92 and played in the FAI Cup Final.

He returns to the Brandywell as the most decorated manager in the Ulster Senior League, leading Cockhill Celtic to four league titles which included back to back doubles.
