Finn Harps have been promoted to the SSE Airtricity Premier Division.
Goals from Mickey Funston and BJ Banda gave the home side a 2-0 win over Limerick after extra time in Ballybofey.
Harps win the tie 2-1, and will be back in the top flight next season for the first time since 2008.
With the visitors 1-0 up from the first leg, Michael Funston’s goal came seven minutes before half time to level the tie on aggregate.
Limerick failed to clear from defence as Funston stole the ball and his effort from a tight angle was judged to have crossed the line as the referee awarded the goal.
The hero for Harps was 17 year old substitute BJ Banda who netted the match winning goal three minutes from the end of extra-time.
As most of Finn Park were thinking of the possibility of penalties, Banda got his head onto a Damien Mc Nulty cross at the near post to secure victory and ensure top flight soccer next season…
