Donegal Deputy calls for Traveller ethnicity following controversial comments over Carrickmines Tragedy

Donegal Deputy Pádraig Mac Lochlainn has called for Traveller ethnicity and says it would be an important first step to promote a positive relationship between the settled and travelling communities.

Concerns have been raised by the Donegal Deputy, following the response from some people to the Carrickmines tragedy - posting on social media they welcomed it.

Deputy Mac Lochlainn says granting ethnicity won’t solve all issues overnight but it would pave the way for a more permanent realignment between both communities:
