The PSNI has issued vital traffic and travel information for tonight’s Halloween festivities in Derry.
Members of the public are being advised to expect some disruption to travel this evening, as thousands descend on the city centre from across the North West.
A huge turnout is expected tonight for the Rise of the River Gods Carnival Parade, which begins at 7pm, followed by a fireworks finale on the River Foyle at 8pm.
People are reminded there will be some traffic disruption compared to the norm which will result in some delays as the parade moves along upper Strand road and Quayside area.
Motorists travelling from Donegal should allow extra time when planning their journeys this evening, and avoid the parade route area until the festivities have ended in order to ensure public safety.
Local people are being advised to use  public transport or to consider walking to the event if possible.
