Decision on controversial wind farm in Finn Valley not going ahead today

A ruling on whether to grant planning permission for a controversial €200 million wind farm the Finn Valley area will not be going ahead today.
Cork based company Planree Limited is proposing to build the Carrickaduff wind farm with up to 49 turbines but there has been considerable local opposition
A decision was expected today which if permitted would be the biggest on shore windfarm in Ireland.
Developers have offered a €3m local community fund over the next 25 years to pay for projects in the area but it has been argued that this would divide the community on the issue.
A decision on the development is now expected in the coming weeks .
