Stoke hope Walters will sign new contract

soccerStoke manager Mark Hughes says that he still hopes to convince Jonathan Walters to sign a new contract at the club.
The Irish international has rejected the contract extension offer that is currently on the table, while the club turned-down a bid from Norwich for the striker on transfer deadline day.
After a series of outstanding displays for club and country this season, Hughes says that he’s still hopeful that the 32-year-old can agree a new deal to remain at the Britannia Stadium.
Earlier this week, Walters scored an absoltue belter in the League Cup success over Chelsea.
