Police searches underway in Strabane

 

 
Police are currently searching the Beechmount Avenue/Ballycolman area of Strabane.
The searches are believed to be part of an investigation into dissident republican activity.
Earlier it was reported that police were investigating claims that shots were fired at the local police station in the town on Saturday last.
It’s not yet clear if both are connected.
