A Donegal Sinn Fein TD says the IRA Army Council is not operational.
Yesterday a report claimed the IRA still maintains an army council – and has control over Sinn Féin.
The report says the group is committed to the peace process – but individual members are engaged in criminal activity including smuggling.
Speaking this morning, Northern Secretary Teresa Villiers refused to say whether or not she knows who is on the Provisional IRA’s Army Council…………….
However Donegal North East TD Pádraig Mac Lochlainn, the Sinn Fein Justice Spokesperson, says republicanism has moved on………..
