Ryder Cup captain Darren Clarke says the Open Championship returning to Royal Portrush is a "proud" moment.
It will be only the second time in the tournament's history that’s it's been held outside of Scotland or England.
The last time was also at Portrush - in 1951.
Organisers the Royal & Ancient have confirmed the event will run from the 18th to 21st July 2019.
