Royal Portrush Golf Club has been named as the venue for the 2019 Open Championship.
2011 Open Champion Darren Clarke will make the announced this morning with the organisers of the Open, The Royal and Ancient.
In the summer of last year it was revealed the Open would be returning to the north west links course for the first time since 1951 and today they will confirm the date.
The Open will be the biggest sporting event ever held in Northern Ireland and is backed by the Northern Ireland Executive.
Crowds of up to 50,000 per day are expected to make their way to the event.
