Calls have been made for greater collaboration between Letterkenny Institute of Technology and Magee College in Derry.
It’s believed the move would advance Irish education on an in-land basis, creating significant economic and societal benefits.
Sinn Féin Councillor Gary Doherty a former graduate of University of Ulster Magee is calling for the collaboration, he feels there is an appetite in the North West for it.
Councillor Doherty says past collaborations prove it could be a success…………
