Derry City beat Bray Wanderers by three goals to one at the Brandywell on Friday night to help move them away from the lower end of the league table.

Mark Timlin scored after four minutes when his 25 yard shot beat Bray keeper Peter Cherrie.

Dean Jarvis headed the second goal in the tenth minute when he met a Patrick Mc Eleney corner kick.

Graham Kelly curled a shot by the home keeper three minutes after the break to make it two one.

Patrick Mc Eleney made sure of the points with a fine shot from the edge of the box in the 62nd minute.

Derry travel to Limerick next Saturday and end their season at home the following week against Bohemians.

After the game, Martin Holmes spoke to Derry City player Conor McCormack and Manager Paul Hegarty.
