Derry City to enquire about Finn Park ground share

Derry City Chairman Philip O’Doherty has claimed the club may have to consider ground sharing at the start of next season with Finn Park in Ballybofey a possible option.
Should the work on the redevelopment of the Brandywell be held up and overlap into the start of the 2016 campaign, Derry would have to make approaches to Finn Harps to discuss a ground share.
Speaking in today’s Derry Journal, O’Doherty said “If we get the work under way this side of Christmas it will be touch and go for the start of the season and we may need a bit of leeway from the FAI or even use of Finn Harp’s stadium if that is possible.”
Derry will meet the council this week to discuss the timescale of the work.
