A campaign is intensifying to have Derry named “The Foodie Town of Ireland.
The city has been shortlisted in the prestigious national industry competition which is organised by the Restaurants of Ireland, with an online public vote underway to determine the winner.
Voting closes in two weeks, and Derry and Strabane District Council is now urging people to vote.
The council’s Tourism Officer Mary Blake says Derry has been galvanised under the ‘LegenDerry Food’ mantra, promoting exceptional quality and locally sourced food.
