Detectives at Strand Road in Derry are appealing for information about a spate of burglaries in the area.
All incidents are said to have occurred Wednesday last.
Detectives say that by Wednesday evening, three burglaries were reported to police.
In the Culmore area, residents returned to their home at Belvoir Park to find it had been ransacked.
The culprits are thought to have been disturbed and made off from the scene. Several diamond rings were stolen.
Meanwhile, in Eglinton, jewellery and a gold watch were stolen from a house at Gransden Park sometime between 2.30pm and 8.30pm.
And in the Altnagelvin area, jewellery was stolen from a house at Ashgrove.
The intruders also stole a large sum of money.
It’s understood that house was entered through a downstairs window between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.
Detectives are currently working to establish if there are any links between the three incidents.
They would like to hear from anyone who noticed suspicious activity or unknown vehicles close to any of the houses that were burgled.
