A group of disability campaigners have spent the first of three nights camped outside government buildings, with a group from the the Donegal Centre for Independent Living joining them in Dublin today.
They’re calling for a 300 million euro investment in disability services in the budget – to redress the cuts suffered during the recession.
They’re also calling on the government to ratify the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
Rosaleen Bradley of the Donegal Centre for Independent Living says this protest is an important one, and it’s important that Donegal is seen to support it…….
