Declan Bonner and Shaun Paul Barrett to be named new u21 and minor managers

Declan Bonner
Declan Bonner and Shaun Paul Barrett have been recommended to take up the reigns of the Donegal u21 and minor manager positions by county officials.
Their names are being put forward by the county executive for ratification, with Bonner to take over from Maxi Curran as the new u21 manager and Barrett to become the new minor boss.
Both appointments have to be ratified at next Monday nights meeting but that’s seen as a formality.
Milford man Barrett fills the void left by Bonner who in his two years in charge had taken the 2014 side to an Ulster minor title and an All Ireland Final.
Declan is expected to retain the backroom team he had in place for the last two seasons.
Since the Buncrana Cup successes at u16 level in 2012 and 2013, the Rosses man will have worked with most of next years county u21 players.
With the official appointment due next week, it means the 1992 All Ireland winner will have  held all managerial positions in the county from u16 up to senior.
