Letterkenny native Sinead Jennings and her partner Claire Lambe have reached the semi finals of the Lightweight Double Skulls at the Rowing World Championships in France.
The Irish crew finished second in their quarter final this afternoon, 1.540 seconds down on the winners from Germany.
Of the twelve semi final qualifiers, Jennings and Lambe had the ninth best time of 7:15.490.
To secure a place at the Olympic Games in Rio next year, they have to finish in the top eleven.
They will be back on the water on Thursday morning after 10am.
