Calls have been made for people in the Finn Valley area to sign up to a new text alert scheme.
The scheme will be launched soon and there have been concerns that not enough residents in the area are signing up.
Local Councillor Patrick McGowan says with the shortage of Gardai in the county, the text alert scheme has proven to be a major success in other townlands.
