Brendan Boyce disqualified from walk race in China

Rob Heffernan finished fifth in the men’s 50k walk at the World Athletics Championships in Beijing.
Having been in the medals for most of the race, the Corkman was edged out in the final five kilometres by two Japanese athletes as Maciej Toth of Slovakia took gold ahead of Jared Tallent.
There was disappointment for Donegal’s Brendan Boyce who was disqualified from the race.
The Milford man was given his third red card at the 35k mark.
