Calls have been made on Donegal County County Council to take measures to solve the ongoing housing crisis by allocating vacant houses to families on the housing list.
In the Ardara area, there is a vacant house in the Charlie Bennett Drive Estate for some time and calls have been made to allocate the house instead of it lying idle.
The latest figures reveal that 2500 people are on the housing list in Donegal with those figures expected to grow
