A 37-year-old man arrested yesterday by police investigating a serious assault on a man in the Bloomfield Park area of Derry has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
The assault took place in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Shortly before 6.30am yesterday, it was reported that a man aged in his 50’s had been the victim of a serious assault in the area.
He was taken to hospital for treatment for a serious head injury.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses and people are asked to contact Detectives in Strand Road on the non-emergency number 101 to help them with their investigation.
