Zach Galifianakis tipped to play Joker in Lego Batman

Lego Batman
There have been some iconic portrayals of Joker over the years, but could we soon be adding Zach Galifianakis’ voice acted role to the list?
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Galifianakis is in final negotiations to voice the villain in Lego Batman, the upcoming spinoff of The Lego Movie.
If he does sign on the dotted line, Galifianakis will be joining up with Will Arnett, who is reprising the role of Batman, and Michael Cera who is voicing the hero’s sidekick, Robin.
Chris McKay is directing the Lego Batman movie, based on a script by Seth Grahame-Smith.
Galifianakis was supposed to be appearing on our screens in the coming months in ensemble comedy Masterminds. However, Relativity Media is bankrupt and currently up for sale. Apparently it can’t afford to market the movie and is pulling it from its release schedule.
It’s unlikely that Lego Batman will run into such issues.
