Kerry Katona’s husband George Kay has been arrested for robbery.
The Atomic Kitten singer’s husband George, 35, was reportedly held on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery after thousands of pounds worth of jewels were allegedly stolen in a car-jacking.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Kerry doesn’t know that George has been arrested. When she finds out she will be heartbroken.
“It is the last thing she needs after the year they have had.”
George – who married Kerry nine months ago and has 16-month-old daughter Dylan-Jorge with her – was bailed until later this month.
News of his arrest is likely to upset Kerry, 34 – who also has children Lilly-Sue and Molly with ex-husband Brian McFadden and Heidi and Maxwell with her second husband Mark Croft – as he only recently moved back into their family home following their brief split last month.
Police have revealed three men were involved in the assault of the driver of a Mercedes motor in Hertfordshire, South East England, before escaping with bags full of jewellery.
The suspects are then said to have attacked a man in a nearby street before stealing his Honda Jazz and driving off, later dumping the vehicle in Mill Hill, north London.
Hertfordshire Police confirmed a 35-year-old man from Oxfordshire – where George lives with Kerry – had been arrested along with three other men aged 20, 21 and 66 from London.
