Tiernan Mc Cann faces 8 week suspension

Tiernan McCann has been handed a proposed 8 week suspension by the GAA’s Competition control committee for his diving antics at the weekend.
The Tyrone player threw himself to the ground against Monaghan late in the game after Darren Hughes ruffled his hair, Hughes was sent off for the incident.
It is understood that the CCCC have been investigating whether McCann could be charged with ‘misconduct discrediting the association’.
The Tyrone County Board have 48 hours to appeal.
The O’Neill County play Kerry in the All Ireland Semi Final on Sunday week the 23rd August.
