Failure rate in Higher Level Maths a cause for concern – Mc Conalogue

Almost 58 thousand Leaving Cert Students received their results this morning.
A total of two thousand two hundred and seventeen students in Donegal are among those who received their results this morning.
One student in St. Eunan’s college in Letterkenny managed to get 7 A1s in his results.
There’s been an increase for the third year running in the numbers failing honours maths – up one percent since last year to 5.2 percent, but there’s been a rise in grades for ordinary level maths.
Fianna Fáil Education Spokesperson Charlie McConalogue says the failure in higher level maths is a cause for concern:
