Disappointment in Donegal camp – after match reaction

Rory Gallagher

The Donegal management and players were naturally disappointed having lost out to Mayo in Saturday's All-Ireland Senior Football Championship quarter-final against Mayo at Croke Park.

Mayo won 2-13 to 0-11 with the two crucial goals either side of half-time.

The Connacht champions were the better side in the second half and the long, hard road taken by Donegal to get this far may well have been a factor.

Donegal boss Rory Gallagher, captain Michael Murphy and defender Eamon McGee gave their views to Highland Radio's Oisin Kelly....

Meanwhile, Tom Comack also got the reaction from two more Donegal players. Firstly he got the reaction of Christy Toye, who felt the goal before half time was key, and then Mark McHugh, who noted that at half-time they still thought they had the measure of Mayo.
