Police investigating arson attack at Derry Primary School

Police are investigating an arson incident that occurred at the Model Primary School, Northland Road, Derry last Thursday

The incident occurred at approximately 9.30pm.

During this incident, playground furniture was completely destroyed.

The estimated value to replace is £3,000.

It is believed the fire started in a litter bin and then spread onto a picnic area.

A check of CCTV shows four young males playing football within the grounds of the school a short time prior to fire service discovering the blaze.

They would all appear to be teenagers.

Police would be keen to identify these males.
