A local councillor has condemned the latest incident in Strabane.
A security operation got underway late last night and a gun was found during a police search in the early hours of this morning.
A suspected firearm was taken away for further forensic examination.
The operation ended shortly after 2 o’clock this morning.
It comes just days after mortar type device was found on Cemetery road during a search which lasted nearly three days.
