Quinlivan and Doherty back on Irish soil with Special Olympic World Games Medals

Donegal athletes Patrick Quinlivan and Oliver Doherty, plus the rest of the Irish Special Olympics team arrived back home this morning following their success in Los Angeles.

Letterkenny man Quinlivan won one silver and three bronze competing in gymnastics.

Oliver Doherty from Buncrana won silver in the individual golf 18 hole competition last Friday.

It was the third time Doherty took a medal at the games.

Team Ireland finished the Special Olympics World Games in LA with an incredible 86 medals.

Huge crowds turned out at Dublin Airport this morning to welcome them home.
