Tyrone through to All-Ireland SFC Quarter-Finals

Tyrone GAA 2Tyrone are through to the quarter-finals of the All-Ireland SFC Championships following a comfortable 0-21 to 0-14 victory over Sligo in the Round 4B curtain-raising qualifier at Croke Park.

Sligo began well enough but Tyrone were in command at the break and led by 0-12 to 0-6 with Darren McCurry particularly prominent - he scored eight points.

Sligo staged a mini-revival at the start of the second half, but Tyrone were never in bother and their strength was evident as the second half wore on.

Tyrone had a couple of late chances to score a goal.

Next up for Tyrone is a last eight clash against Monaghan which will be a much sterner test.
