Brendan O’Donnell finishes seventh in European Youth Olympics hammer final

Donegal’s Brendan O’Donnell has finished seventh in the European Youth Olympics in Georgia.
The young Lifford AC athlete was competing in the final of the hammer event.
He threw 59.46 metres which enabled him to finish seventh overall, having gone into the final ranked eighth.
His personal best is 63.78 metres.
Taking part at this level will have been a great experience for him.
Glenfin’s Aaron McGlynn goes in the 800 metres final on Saturday.
