PSNI defend army presence on Galliagh search

Police in Derry say the presence of army personnel on a search in Galliagh yesterday was necessary because they believed they might have foundmunitions or explosives.
The search concluded yesterday evening
A number of items were taken away for further examination. No arrests were made.
The military presence has been questioned by local people, Councillor Sandra Duffy says residents are worried, and incidents such as this heighten tension in the area:
