Derry City had a scoreless draw on Friday night at home to bottom of the league Limerick FC.
Despite creating several good chances to score, City were unable to find the net.
Limerick belied their bottom of the table position with a good performance and played some good football at times.
City’s best chance of the game fell to Stephen Dooley on the half hour when he failed to connect with the excellent ball in from Mark Timlin just two yards out with the net gaping.
The second half was better for both sides and in the end a draw was the fair result.
Derry are joint second bottom of the table with Sligo Rovers but goal difference sees Derry just ahead.
After the match, Derry City manager Peter Hutton spoke to Martin Holmes.
