Firefighters in Derry remain at the scene of last night's fire at the Poundstretcher premises which caused extensive damage.
The fire broke out shortly before 1.30 this morning, and at the height of the blaze, there were over 50 firefighters at the scene.
While the premises has been extensively damaged, they managed to prevent the fire from spreading to adjoining buildings., including First Derry Presbyterian Church, which backs on to the Poundstretcher store.
The area remains sealed off this morning, with the emphasis now on the future of the 15 employees.
Foyle MLA Maeve Mc Laughlin says discussions on finding an alternative premises for them are already underway.............
