The weekly cost of private nursing home care is cheapest in Co Donegal.
According to a new survey the average cost here is €748, while the highest cost is in Dublin at €1,100.
Nationally the average cost of a nursing home last year was €896 a week, leaving Co Donegal still somewhat lower than the national average.
The figures have emerged in the latest Nursing Homes Ireland survey report on private and voluntary facilities across the country.
