Calls have been made for a change in legislation in which Gardai charge for events to be policed.
In one case, a charity event had to foot a four thousand euro bill for Gardai to be present on the day.
The legislation has been condemned by Donegal Deputy and Sinn Fein’s Justice Spokesperson, Padraig Mac Lochlainn and he is calling for it to be stopped:
