A discussion on Farm Safety takes place tomorrow evening in the Villa Rose Hotel, Ballybofey as part of Positive Health and Well Being Fortnight in the Finn Valley.
Last year, sixty per cent of workplace deaths were related to farm accidents, despite farmers representing just six per cent of the Irish workforce.
With the summer holidays fast approaching, the talk will have a strong focus on the safety of children in and around the farm.
The talk is being coordinated by Finn Valley Together, and spokesperson Claudia Kennedy says this is aimed at preventing further farm tragedies in the area………..
